Resveratrol is highly susceptable to deterioration by oxidation and exposure to ultraviolet light.  A quality supplement needs to be protected from oxidation during manufacture through the use of nitrogen gas filled processing lines such as we have at our bottling plants. 

The bottle in which our supplements are contained also use an inert gas to prevent oxidation during shipment.  Once a bottle is opened, oxygen is allowed to enter, and this is where active packaging technology is required in order to keep it fresh and free from risk of oxidisation.  If active packaging technology is not employed to protect against this damage the shelf life of the product will be seriously degraded.  

Only Biotivia uses an oxygen absorber system to capture the oxygen which enters the bottle when a capsule is retrieved.
